Cwm Carn/Afan one day and Brechfa the following sounds like a pretty good weekend to me. Twrch at CC, W2 at Afan then Raven at Brechfa. Seems as your new to the Welsh trail centre thing, one good piece of advice is don’t get lulled into a false sense of security, don’t leave your bikes unattended and don’t leave anything of great value in your van/car. My mate recently had his custom trek session 88 stolen from his van in broad daylight on a CC as he rode the Twrch on his trail bike, countless people have had bikes stolen from afan/glyncorrwg area.Posted 6 years agoflatfishMember
I just find it odd that you want to come all the way down to south wales and ride a trail centre when theres so much to ride up your neck of the woods.Posted 6 years ago
If theres another reason to be in the area, fine, like a wedding, interview, etc. but I certainly wouldn’t make a special trip to ride a couple of trail centres 5+ hours away.gavtheoldskaterMember
very easy to do. last nov i found an excuse to go to cardiff (i’m near lands end) so took the bike shot up to cwn carn, did a loop of the xc, did my business in cardiff then headed for afan. camped at glncorrwg(hardest bit was finding some food, drove for miles just to find a chinese chippy). woke up early and did whites. with nore time could’ve very easily kicked around then do an afternoon run around the wall or something.
and don’t forget that as you join the motorway as you come from afan there is an excellent outlet village thats worth stopping in. vans and then a starbucks to fuel the drive, can’t be bad.Posted 6 years ago
