Whats the current trail status? Penhydd? New trail any good?

Toying up a quick trip next weekend

New red Penhydd is the old penhydd with the muddy double track taken out, all the trees cut down and a couple more rocks thrown in.

New blue Penhydd is very short smooth berm rollercoaster.

Some like it some don’t.

New Blade trail at Glyncorrwg is meant to be alright, haven’t tried it yet.

New XC trail at Cwmcarn is good though very muddy in places.

what i used to enjoy about Afan was the tree lined trails.
The last visit (2 WEEKS BACK) was an exposed windy ride across an apocalyptic hillside, with no sign of trees or cover. Not sure it hold the appeal it did before. The ‘trail’ itself is, however, the same and plenty rideable.

Yeah that is a bit of a bummer but I believe was unavoidable due to circumstance
