My wife wants a motion activated / night vision trail cam to put in the garden

I think one with wifi would be good that you can view on a mobile phone

any one know owt about them ?
    any recommendations

all she wants for Christmas is one of these and a compost bin !

Check shooting forums, hunters tend to use them.

WiFi not really an option. I only found one expensive American unit. Phone network type ones are readily available, otherwise you’re going to have to pop the card out.

The only one I’ve seen with wifi is the Browning Defender, costs £230. And it probably uses up batteries quickly – it uses lithium batteries, so could get expensive.
Simpler/cheaper just to take the card out.

Worth a look at NatureSpy, they have a decent selection. https://shop.naturespy.org/camera-trap-selection/

Take a look at this one, £70 and lasts ok on 8xAAs.

    Quite happy with it.
