    Bit of advice please chaps.

Bought an On One Inbred slot dropout for my boy. Trying to get the chainline right. OO Retard SS wheels with a freewheel, so no adjustment there. Truvativ FireX ISIS crankset. Chainring is on the middle but really needs to be on the outer position with about 2.5mm spacers behind it to put it further outwards.

So do I set it up as follows? Female chainring bolt from the frame side, spacer over the top, chainring on, male bolt from the outside. Will the chainring be OK not up against the crank arms?

Will he die or is this OK?

I ran my SS with the chain ring on the inside of the crank tabs essentially where the middle ring would be (there were no notches for the chain ring to sit).. I didn’t die and one of the tabs was cracked.

Edit. Don’t know about putting a spacer in there though.

Edit. Really didn’t read your post properly! Can you get a BB with a longer axle?
