I'm about to replace the bearings on a front Mavic Crossmax SL wheel. These are sealed cartridge and push-fit into the hub. I've never done this before and I'm not sure how to go about pushing the new ones into the hub to be sure they seat properly, are 100% true and are not damaged. All advice gratefully received – thanks a lot.

Use the old bearings on top on the new bearings when knocking them in. Make sure the faces line up though.

I search around in my socket spanner box and find one that's the same size as the outer.

Then 'it it, wiv a 'ammer, 'ard.
