Looks like advantage 2.1 are best for me on my XC wheelset for all round XC riding weight:grip etc. Upgrading from MK protections – have minions and roller FR and Rr on my DT5.1D setup and they are great.

The ZTR 355 are a narrow rim but thinking of running the Advantages tubeless? I did have a discussion last week on STW about Ardents but tehy seem much bigger and a bit heavier for general XC type riding?

I've got 2.35 swamp things on my 355's with no problem.

they are probably the same size as advantage 2.1's.

Mine are tubeless as well BTW

Chears Chucky. Just bought a pair 🙂

I'm about 12 stone – I have used XC717 before and those lasted well until I bent the rim so the ZTR's should be OK for most things apart from big drops which I rarely do anyway?

    355s aren't narrow, they're a fair bit wider than 717s

John – sorry I mean narrow in comparison to the 5.1D I already have and not having used 2.1 Advantages on XC717's – Sorry 🙄
