Just bought one of these for £429 (yes I know that’s more than £400), and very impressed so far.

You could have it tomorrow for a tenner delivered, or Saturday for free, apparently.

Had one of these for 8 months it has been good so far, 30 min quick wash and 1500rpm spin are great to have.

Aren’t Beko the ones which kept catching fire even though the London Fire Brigade had repeatedly flagged back to them that they were a fire risk?

Edit: Maybe it was Beki fridges: http://www.itv.com/news/2013-03-01/nearly-138-000-beko-products-a-safety-risk-in-uk-homes/

We got a £350 Zanussi about 6 years ago. Works well, as many functions as you need, does the job.
Bit sceptical before buying as never used that brand before but it’s been great.

Even plays a little tune when it’s done! Delivery was fast too!

plus 1 for the Ecobubble from ao.com.

    Hi buddy

Used to work with a lot of these, admittedly a few years ago (the washers not the posters!), and from what I learned I’ve ended up with a kitchen full of Bosch equipment, washer included – and it’s never missed a beat 🙂

So in a word, for what it’s worth IMHO…

In a similar pickle as my Bosch has started making noises & leaking, it had a fair run though being 12 years old or so. Been looking at the Bosch (classixx series), based on the life of the old un, as I don’t need an digital display or lots of wash options (I do the washing!).. Also doubt that kind complicated stuff will last another 12 years. No idea how your supposed to decide on one otherwise, as they have the A+++ of the more expensive/complicated/larger load ones

As we’re on a MTB forum, can I suggest ones where you can easily clean out the drain/trap at the bottom are best, for when it’s getting clogged with mud. No particular recommendations beyond that.

Samsung Ecobubble – got it from Currys a few months ago and so far it’s been great – also got free extended guarantee to 5 years and free digicam – we paid about £300

Another vote for Beko. had ours 9 years, no issues, eventually had to replace the brushes earlier this year – 30 min DIY job.

Had a bosch exxel die prematurely on us so replaced with a siemans. All good so far; blocks less, quieter, just a better machine really.

We got the same Bosch Exxcel as Jamie last november. Worked out as £350 after discounts (Co-op) and Bosch Cashback.

bottom of the range Bosch. Mines been going strong for about 12 yrs now. Cost me something like £275 all those years ago. Owes me nothing now.

Zanussi here. 8 years of seriously hard labour, still going. Was around 350/400 iirc from john lewis.

You’ll be resentful every time you use it now. Sorry 🙁

We bought it as part of a house move that turned out to be a nightmare rental and has cost us hundreds, if not over £1k and that doesnt include time and lost income. Fortunately the landlord of the house we moved back into let us put the old Beko here on freecycle and fit the bosch which is good as it is a much better machine (but not a fair comparison) but saved it being a complete waste of money!
