Secondly, I like to watch classic movies etc.

Now the question as per title I have been watching versions (new & old) of A Xmas Carol (with Scrooge character) and my question is:

What lesson(s) have you learned from watching A Xmas Carol with Scrooge?

I learned that …

1. Scrooge is a good character apart from his strict/abusive upbringing (from the new version).
2. Scrooge gets a second chance so long as he is “fair” but just stingy.
3. Powerful people (and rich) are favoured by the bloke up there in the sky.
4. Scrooge gets a second chance because he affects many lives in his dealings etc.
5. The Xmas spirits/ghosts are biased.

… those are the immediate points I noticed.

For the life of me, I can not understand how you managed to draw those conclusions. Unless their only in light of the shit produced by the BBC.

I’m quite enjoying the BBC Christmas Carol*. The way Marly got sent through purgatory and Bob Cratchet not being a completely subservient sap is all good.
