    Cracking day at Drumlanrig.

I’d forgotten how much climbing there is but also how flowy and sweet the second part of the red was.

Hit a root at a bad angle, came off and hit a rock, but it just smarted a bit. I also bottle a few of the descents on the black, but had a go at quite a lot. Like the slab at Gisburn, this is a lot steeper than it looks – it is a little black section on the red, and yeah I had a go!

    Havin’ it!!!

Hope everyone else had as much fun as I did today : )

Was there yesterday, and last week. Really surprised how ‘dry’ it was. Mixed up some of the red and blue routes.

Never tried the Black, on the to do list for the Easter Hols

    Nice pics.

Yeah some of the black bits make me stop too. Would like to conquer them this year!

Drumlanrig is awsum and much overlooked by the stormtrooper set.
TBH I’m not sure they could cope with trails that aren’t surfaced and santised until there’s not a root or missplaced rock in sight.

Hey, I’m a stormtrooper and I love Drumlanrig! TBH it’s a virtuous circle, it couldn’t cope with the traffic that some other places get- imagine unleashing the Glentress hordes on it riding down everything with the back tyres locked.

I make a point of trying to ride Drumlanrig when I’m down that way.

    It’s great.

Great to ride some of the repaired bits on the second half of the red. They’ve done a great job there. That part after the pump track loopy thingy bit is just great.
