    Well, I’ve now seen one (and just for Bikebuoy, it’s rim braked bretherin, a snip at 9k on the nose) and it looks very nice.

    From ten feet away. The paint is so thin (presumably for moar lightness) that you can see bits of carbon through it, the seams etc where it’s been made and it looks shit IME. Admittedly I’ve been spending a lot of time looking at the fatcreations instagram, so have seen some very lovely stuff, but this isn’t even up to Spesh’s usual standards, and they do have some lovely paint jobs.

    So that’s what would put me off, having to send it away to be painted properly…

    This. £10k bikes exist to make spending £5k on a bike appear in some way sane.

    It’s the eye candy to look a when people are buying the cheaper variant.

    might have to paint my ultegra brake fins black thou for extra pimp look.
