I’m pretty sure that I can use my current 9 speed chainset & rings with a 10 speed setup but just wanted to double check (I believe that the internal plate-to-plate width of 9 & 10 speed chains is the same).

Also, my Park chain cutter was bought years ago when 10 speed didn’t exist; will it be useable for 10 speed chains due to their slightly narrower width?

Yes, rings will be fine. That’s what my setup is on my Stiffee. My chain tool is about the same age and used it on the 10 speed chain no problems.

Thanks, I thought so but it’s good to have it confirmed. 👍

Same as gnusmas. 9 speed rings and old chain tool working fine on 10 speed chain (chain tool has been used on 12s chain FWIW).
