    So riding in the lakes has left me considering some. Obvious choice is the 661 KyleStraights. However, saw the POC ones the other day and they would seem a decent contender, but at £60 they are in 661 EVO teritory and they guaruntee they wont see regular use.

    Obviously I will try them on, but interested in just how tough they are – is it one decent fall onto rock and they have holes in or are they more durable than that?

    They are cheaper than the d30 model and a lot better fitting and performing.

    Check with Rick and Topps for opinions on effectiveness.

    Only a few pairs left in stock and no more til september. The new seasons range will feature some VPD shin and 'wrap-around' style knee variants like the Kyles.

    There is no way you will make holes in the VPD.

    i'd agree, but anyone who can make that ensemble work with black painted fingernails and a red and black stripey jumper, is well ahead of the game i think.
