    If you mean using 3 in 1 oil on your chain then I wouldn’t bother. Being a cheapskate I tried it and it didn’t last more than a few hours on a wet ride.

    I used it as a dry weather lube for a while and thought it was good.

    I noticed that it wasn’t called oil anymore.  Then you notice that a lot of lubes aren’t advertised as oil.  What are they?

    3-in-1 is an ok machine oil for wheelbuildng purposes and maybe locks, hinges etc.

    Wouldn’t be on my list for a chainlube though.  Apart from anything else it’s s-t-i-c-k-y…

    use a synthetic motor oil works well

    Works ok in shimano brakes.

    on a chain EP90 gear oil is better. Use it sparingly though.
