Has anyone managed to find and use some suitable sized padded wheel bags to take a 29er wheel with tyre fitted and not deflated ?

No – I made one out of an old duvet !

No – I am using the square Mavic unpadded bags. You could easily add in some cardboard to provide additional protection.

I was just thinking this the other day – I would like some, as my frame fits in my existing bag but haven’t found any 🙁

29er wheels, even with the tyres on easily fit inside the large blue ikea bags.

so maybe use a couple of those per wheel in combination with ‘christhetall’s suggestion of using an old duvet for protection? 😀
