It’s coming :))

Could be N+1 time!
Posted 6 years agoNice, it’s what a lot of people have been wondering and trying to get a bigger tyre in the back.
Wonder if the wheelbase / geometry will change ? Krampus is at least 2″ longer than a Jones.
Posted 6 years agoNice 🙂
Just need a better selection of 29+ tyres to be released now.
Posted 6 years agoThank goodness I’ve just got myself a 29er+ that I love or else I’d need one of these…
Posted 6 years agoPrepare for a different kind of love?
Posted 6 years agoYes!!!
Aw no ….
but .. yes!
Posted 6 years agoOoh, rather.
Posted 6 years ago16.5″ seat tube, 23″ top tube with 650b+(27.5x 2.8 ish) tyres ( 29+ I think too big for me) I can only wish.
Posted 6 years agoDon’t suppose there’s any chance of a price crash on the older frames, is there?
Posted 6 years agofanbloomintastic!!!
Posted 6 years agoDuffer – there might be a price crash on second hand frames of course…
Posted 6 years agoNice!
Just need a better selection of 29+ tyres to be released now.
I’m counting on this. My 29+ should be ready in a couple of months and I don’t fancy a winter on knards…
Bonty ones look a bit better as do Dirt wizards if they ever materialise
Posted 6 years agoMaxxis Chronicle is a tyre option. As for older frames ‘crashing’ – too good for that!
Posted 6 years ago
Not older, just different. Two models now ‘29‘ and ‘Plus‘. More words and pictures to come.I don’t think this bike replaces the current one, seems like an alternative with mods to suit the big OD tyres. Compromises either way whatever you do. I expect you’ll see a few more steel frames SH before long though.
Posted 6 years ago^ there we are, beat to it by the man that does know : )
Posted 6 years agoDP
Posted 6 years agoMmm, just when i got “happy” with my collection.
I don’t NEED, but I think a ride might prove otherwise.
Biff- speak next week. DON’T sell me anything 😆
Posted 6 years agoNot selling. Talking about bikes.
Compromises?! :O)
I’ll settle for a Jones compromise over many others’ ideals any day.
Posted 6 years ago
Out on my old Jones today – what a brilliant bundle of compromises.Oh boy oh boy I do ever so want the bike
Posted 6 years agoyeah.. you know what I mean : ) ‘balances’ then. Was out on the ‘old’ one over the weekend after a week away doing a load of road miles. Straight on, no adjustment time, grins and slides, just great.
Posted 6 years agoI’m cool with compromises – it’s true.
Posted 6 years ago
Can’t have everything. That’s just greedy.Out on mine tonight for the first time in 5 months (ruptured kidney), trying out my new carbon wheels, it flys 😀
Better start saving my pennies!
Looking at the pictures- I was trying to see if it has a wider BB to allow for the larger tyre and keep the chainstays short?
Really fancy some carbon h bars too.
Posted 6 years agoRode my SSSF the other day.
Still confused as to where I left my legs the next day. It was ace and rode like a dream but I showed my age the next day. I need to ride more!
I have the perfect pair, no need for a third……………….
Posted 6 years agoFRC, glad you’re on the mend and back out on the trails, that’s great news 😀
Posted 6 years agoThanks Paceman, I had a spin round Stanmer with Ronnie and Carl, hopefully I’ll be out for a Thursday ride soon!
Posted 6 years agoI’m very happy with my compromised SS Diamond frame. Maybe it depends on terrain and other things but I can’t see how less tyre choice and presumably more weight would improve it?
Posted 6 years ago
And Tim you definitely need to ride more!I do.
Posted 6 years ago
Work keeps getting in the way. No bad thing but better balance is needed for next year.I’m very happy with my compromised SS Diamond frame. Maybe it depends on terrain and other things but I can’t see how less tyre choice and presumably more weight would improve it?
And Tim you definitely need to ride more!Hopefully by the time that the Jones Plus is available, so will more tyre options. More weight? Depends what you’re comparing it to, frame will be the same, so it’s only a beefier rear tyre your adding? And compared to a fat front setup, overall a bit lighter. I’m not sure how your diamond is compromised anyway?
Posted 6 years agoI’m not sure how your diamond is compromised anyway?
It was just the compromises/balances comments from James and me.
Posted 6 years agoNope – Matthews builds are always compromised in his eccentric decisions on mix and match componentry 😆
Posted 6 years ago
Posted 6 years agoI really like the look of that.
Posted 6 years agoFirst time I’ve seen an in-line seat post on a Jones.
Would like to swing a leg over this at some point.Tim – are you on your Jones tomorrow?
Posted 6 years ago^^Like that a lot^^^
Posted 6 years agoHi,many short people 5’8″ had any experience on these bikes? The sizes quoted on the new frame seem quite long.
I am currently toying with the idea of a hardtail and I do like something a bit different so this looks very interesting.
Posted 6 years agoI’m 5’9″. Fit is really nice – 80mm stem, layback post.
Really, really fun bike to ride & super confidence inspiring. Love it.
Posted 6 years ago5’8″ on a Spaceframe, 90mm stem and layback seatpost.
Sadly – I don’t think the JonesPlus will fit me, as the standard diamond is just too big for me. I’ll have to wait for the Spaceframe version.
I thought the blurb was a bit odd.
Posted 6 years agoI’ll be out on the South Downs on mine today 😀 see how the 29+ front compares to my carbon fat front.
Posted 6 years agoI’m on a Diamond I should add. Buy a red one, they’re lovely. 😀
Posted 6 years agoI know it is in one of the links but if you haven’t seen it, the video is worth a watch IMHO
