That’s interesting. They used to only have 20″ frames (which is, luckily, what I was after), but now they’ve got an 18″ one too. It comes with a £400 premium though, which presumably reflects the fact that there aren’t many 18″ frames left in 26″ flavour (so grab it while you can).

I’m considering selling my 20″ 2011 Five frame soon. It’ll be going back to Orange for a paint job very shortly (it’s just begun to show a problem with paint lifting on an area of the swingarm, which the’ve agreed to sort with a heavily discounted paint job).
I could maybe get a custom colour done if anyone’s interested.

I think most of the 20″ frames are custom colour too though and they are £400 cheaper. I got mine in neon Orange from there at £1099 (with kashima CTD-A shock, headset & seat clamp).

How is it a custom colour if it’s what they have in stock? And £400?

Think Blazing Saddles in Hebden Bridge still has a complete 26″ wheeled Five on sale. Great bike – a classic.

I’m 6′ with 33″ inside leg and find the 20″ perfect. I used to own an 18″ Five and found that too small, but different strokes and all that.

Personally at £1,100 for a new frame with Kashima shock I found it impossible to resist. Of course you can save a few hundred quid on a second hand frame, but the warranty only applies to the first owner so you could lose all of whatever you spent as well.

I’m 5,11 with a 32 inseam and had an 18 inch Five. I would think it might feel a bit cramped for you on longer rides, unless you like a smaller bike for chucking about.

devash – I’m the same measurements and have an 18″. Spot on for me. They have a long top tube.
