I’ve foolishly gone and bought (and fitted) a 203mm Hope floating rotor for the front of my bike, only finding out afterwards that the stated maximum size by RockShox for a Pike (650b RC) is 200mm. Is 3mm going to make that much difference? Will the fork instantly snap and aim me at a tree the minute I try and slow down?

I ran a Tora with a 203mm rotor for a year and didn’t die. I think you will be ok.

If it bothers you then sell the Hope and get a 200mm rotor.

    Strange I was just looking at replacing a 180mm with a 203mm!

So we’re saying I’ll probably be ok. Good to know. A bit of Google-fu suggests that at I am not the only person doing this anyway.

Also, SRAM rotors only go up to 200mm that I can find. Coincidence? I think not.
