    Hi guys,

I have some 170mm Lyrik RCT3 forks and want to lower the travel to 140mm.
Can this be done by changing the air shaft?

I have seen it online but wasn’t sure if it was just the newer Charger damper/Debonair forks?

Yes, just follow one of the YouTube tutorials for the Pike or Lyrik.

BUT – are you sure you can get a 140mm air shaft? I thought it was 150mm minimum?

Can’t you get 130mm Yari’s On some hardcore (ish) hardtails? On that basis I’d assume those airshafts must be available.

Well I was curious as I have a Lyrik that I might want to drop from 160mm to 140mm, so I phoned TF Tuned.

The nice lady went away to confer with the technicians, who confessed that they didn’t know for sure. You can buy a 140mm airshaft for a yari, but only a 150mm one for a Lyrik.

I said I might drop Sram a line, and she said she’d probably do the same.

Yari and lyrik have the same chassis, so I don’t see why the 140mm yari one wouldn’t work.

The new debonair version fits both: https://www.sram.com/rockshox/products/rockshox-debonair-air-spring-upgrade-kits
