Recently bought my daughter a bargain Trek Skye S from 2015. It’s in decent shape but the main issue it has right now is the rear bearing sounds dry. Didn’t notice when we went to collect as she was pedalling all the time but it doesn’t sound good when it is free wheeling. Need to learn how to fix that!
She wants to go 1x link her dad so I was wondering whether a 2013 SLX long cage with clutch would work. It’s about to come off my bike and it would be good if I could use it on hers as it is still in great condition. I just don’t know what range cassette would be good for it. Does anyone know?
