Does anyone know if a 2011 Mavic Crossmax SX can be converted from a 142mm axle to a 135x12mm one and, if so, where I can get the appropriate kit from?

Have a look at this thread (and some of the links…)

    http://singletrackworld.com/forum/topic/mavic-crossmax-135-12-adaptors-where-to-get

    might help.

EDIT: FWIW, it looks like (according to the parts diagramme) that it is just a case of taking off the existing 142mm converters and hey presto, 135mm spacing. Think they are threadlocked on though so it might not be obvious.

I saw that post, but that seems to be for the older style hub. The 2011 uses the ITS4 hub and I’m not sure if the same principle applies – can anyone confirm or deny?

If it is the same ITS4 as my crossmax 29ST, you just pull the adaptors out and it is 135 x 12.

I have the 2012s, and they come with a 142 adapter as standard, and they are ITS4 hubs. Removing the 142 makes them 135 AFAIK
