- 2010 Giant Anthem X4 small (16") upgraded to X1/2 spec
Having built the Helius CC, I can’t justify keeping the Anthem as well (as much as I might want to) so sadly it’s up for sale.
2010 Giant Anthem X4 – small 16″
The bike has been totally upgraded over the past few months to X1/X2 specification or higher. It’s a very light bike – 24lbs in current spec
Fork – Fox 32 F 100mm RL fork – white
Shock – 2010 Fox Float RPL shock 165mm x 38mm (standard is the basic Float) – RPL has Open/Propedal/Lockout settings
Brakes – Formula K18 180/160 – white – also 1 spare set of new Superstar Kevlar pads and 1 spare set of nearly new Formula sintered pads
Bars – Sunline V1 carbon riser 25.4mm 685mm width
Stem – Thomson Elite 100mm
Seatpost – Thomson Layback 30.9mm
Saddle – SDG Bel Air RL ti
Chainset – SLX – around 100 miles old
Rear mech – XT
Front Mech – XT
Cassette – Shimano SLX – around 100 miles old
Chain – HG73 – around 100 miles old
Wheels – Stans Notubes ZTR Olympic rims on Sun Ringle Dirty Flea hubs with DT comp spokes – light at under 1500g with yellow tape and Stans valves fitted – new SKF and INA bearings fitted to the hubs in Aug 2010 – they would cost over £350 new from CRC without the tape or valves.
Tyres – Kenda Excavator XC 2.1 folding run tubeless with Stans fluid
All the original suspension bearings have been upgraded to properly packed INA/SKF/EZO bearings in Aug 2010 so should give several years of trouble free riding.
Basically the only original X4 parts are the Frame and Fork – everything else has been replaced with higher spec parts.
It’s in really excellent condition and is fitted with protective tape on the top tube and down tube and in contact areas.
I’ll post some pics up laterPosted 7 years ago
