  • 2'' tyre in a surly lht/disc trucker?

    i know i have had 3 of them, but the largest tyre i have run is a 47c conti hybrid tyre. no mudguards. anyone know if a 2” big apple will fit?

    26?: 2.1? with or without fenders; 700c: 42mm with fenders, 45mm without fenders Individual tire and rim combos affect tire clearance

    i read that, but it takes a 47c with space still.

    5mm sides and over 10mm at bridge

    5mm at each side makes 10mm. 10 + 47 = 57mm.

    2″ = 51mm.

    It’s fit for fatties (but without mudguards)

    I ran 2.1 maxxis larsons on mine.

    Just measured mine for you. Big Apple 29×2.0. Bontrager Mustang 29er rims, 19mm width. Width edge to edge, 48mm, 43mm height above top of rim.
