Looking to convert the groupset on my crosser from 2x to 1x. Currently running shimano and I’m thinking the following, would this work ok?

Chainset: Use existing Tiagra 4700 and convert 2x to 1x with absolute black 38T NW 4bolt
Shifter: Sram Rival
Rear Mech: Sram Long. Apex, Rival whatever I can find at the mo.
Cassette: Sunrace 11-46 (from the spares box, Shimano freehub)
*goatlink for above or it’ll go 46 without the goat?

Rival1 and Apex1 rear derailleurs are both capped at 42t so you’d need a link. I have both running 1x with 42t cassettes and there’s a lot of tension there. Apex1 is on wife’s Grade with a 36t ring and 9-42 cassette. Rival1 is on my Boone with 46t ring and 10-42 cassette.
