- 1800 quid for a fs bike. Stuck what to get
Ok after the insurance not turning out to what it should have been im left with 1800 quid to find a new bike. Well a replacement as it doesnt have to be new, second hand is fine.
So an suggestions? im wondering if anyone has any experiences of the stumpjumpers? or anything else that i should be keeping an eye out for?Posted 4 years agoandypandy85Member
All sorts around for that price, new or second hand. I’m looking to spend about the same as you, think I’ve narrowed it down to a Giant Trance 2 when they come out in March, or a Canyon if I buy new…second hand is a minefield, so much on offer!
The El Guapo tempted me, but Planet X’s lack of interest in taking £1650 off me made me look elsewhere!Posted 4 years agoOllyMember

In the usual vein of recommend what you have, I’ve just purchased a Giant Anthem X 29er 4, it comes in under budget but they do a more expensive one with better spec. It climbs like a thing possesed, very impressed with it, after a long time riding hardtails and fully rigid it was a revelation in comfort and performance. 100mm travel with 29ers is a rapid ground coverer.Posted 4 years agohainmanMember
