  • 10sp road derailleur with MTB shifter?

    I’ve just bought a used 105 derailleur to use as a chain tensioner on a FS single speed, which is nice, but if I want to use it with a 10sp MTB shifter at some point will they work together? Google only seems to chuck up answers for road shifters + MTB derailleurs 😕

    Shimano changed the actuation ratios between road and MTB for 10 speed

    No that got shut down I think. It was the old road 10 speed that worked

    You can just buy a road flat bar shifter. They are standard on hybrids
