Forest seem to have used last week's tribulations to positive effect.
If it spirals and multiplies so in turn BAHA use the experience to galvanise themselves, who's playing Brighton next week? Oooh, Chelsea! Let's hope!
Brighton had 62% possession! Forest are ruthlessly efficient - scored 7 of their 9 shots on target.
Forest remind me of the Leicester title team - pretty simple football, bags of energy and very good at creating goals out of nowhere.
Leicester had some proper talent in that team Mahrez, Kante and Vardy at his peak were more than a handful for anyone. I am not sure forest have anyone that a champions league team would snap up like those three, which makes their achievement equally as remarkable (if they can make it too the end). Even when Brighton got European football there were "big" teams sniffing around their star talent.
What a season Chris Wood is having! Forests conversion rate is insane
Elanga is another one of those players who have thrived after leaving Old Trafford (for next to nothing). He's absolute quality and I was always baffled as to why we let him go, yet kept far worse players.
Looks like Rashford is off to Villa on loan, to replace Duran. I bet he gets there and bangs them in for fun for the rest of the season, while we watch Højlund and Zirkzee fluff what few chances they ever get. Højlunds first touch is apalling, which is something of a handicap when you're an old fashioned target man, with nothing else in your locker
Well, that's Ipswich down, I reckon. Always thought it would be a one season wonder, they might surprise me yet.
Just got home from an away day at the City Ground.
I’ve had better days, though I did get to see 7 goals and had a nice walk along the river back to the car.
I bet you have. Not even Mrs Binners could have predicted that scoreline
The three promoted sides in the bottom three - where they’ll probably remain.
The three promoted sides in the bottom three – where they’ll probably remain.
Repeat forever, the gap is ever widening
Fans of the teams promoted at the end of 2021/22 might demur (Bournemouth, Fulham & Notts Forest).
Well I’ve finally accepted my wife’s wisdom in an ‘if you can’t beat’em’ manner and I stuck a few quid on us losing to Palace at home at an unfathomable 5/1. Have the bookies not watched any games at Old Trafford this season?
Our home form is so appalling that it seemed a given we’d lose. And so it came to pass. If we’re going to be absolutely shite, I might as well make some money out of it.
What are the odds on Amorim getting the sack next?
It's mind boggling that spurs are where they are in the league with a +11 goal difference
Important win for Spurs. Put's to bed the crazy talk of relegation.
Man Utd are awful. Don't understand why he didn't start with any proper strikers?
Amorim is 34-1 to be sacked. @binners What does your good lady think of that?
**** me, Havertz is thieving a living as a striker isn't he. What's the number for trades descriptions?
He’s shockingly bad! He makes some of our recent buys look like value for money. Actually: I’m amazed we didn’t sign him.
I wonder if you can bet on how many absolute sitters Havertz will put into Row Z every week?

Going off our past record, we’ll let him spend about a billion, then sack him
Does anyone else think that Peter Drury’s commentary on Sky is always a bit odd. Rather than saying a player’s name when they receive the ball he says it when they get rid of it. So someone can have the ball for 10 seconds & he doesn’t identify them until they have passed it. It’s like he is watching a match on time delay.
A lot of the new commentating styles sound like they're hostages reading from a script.

Bring back Ole! 😉
Good response from Arsenal this, coping pretty well without Saka all being told.
Amorim pretty much has a free hit this season but he’s not going to last if he does daft shit like play Mainoo up front. Perhaps a reference to the club about his attacking options.
“Are you Tottenham in disguise?!”
😀
I'd be avoiding 50-50's with Bernardo Silva for the next 5 mins
Perhaps a reference to the club about his attacking options.
He has 2 alleged ‘strikers’ who cost a combined 100 million + in the summer, neither of whom can hit a barn door with a shovel!
Blimey, that second half was an absolute arse-kicking. The Citeh defence is a shambles!
Rodri must be greatest footballer of all time if his absence causes City's massive loss of form.
Yep, I don’t get why they’ve gone and bought two new defenders and a forward - albeit with the future in mind - and not a central midfielder. They just have no physicality or legs in there now. Maybe there’s no one out there, they got burned with Kalvin Phillips I guess.
To be fair, when it comes to central midfielders they were up against (in Rodri’s absence) the best in the premier league today, who was deservedly man of the match
I'd say Liverpool's midfield is the best in the premiership.
Rice is the best defensive midfielder in Rodri's absence, I don't think he was talking about the whole midfield. We also don't really have any proper full backs, although Gvardiol's pretty good for a centre back playing out of position. I think that Kovacic was meant to be Rodri's stand in, but he doesn't have the defensive presence.
Marmoush was the replacement for Alveraz, and given we banked 100 mil in profit in the summer transfer window, there is still some headroom in spending. We are apparently in for Gonzalez from Porto, but I don't think there is any chance of bargaining them down from the release clause after todays performance.
I’d say Liverpool’s midfield is the best in the premiership.
Overall, I wouldn’t argue with you. The table doesn’t lie. Alexis Macallister has to be the best buy by anyone over the last couple of seasons. I couldn’t believe how little Liverpool psyed for him.
But when you’re talking about individuals, the best central midfielder in the EPL at the moment is Declan Rice. By a mile. He just does what he did today… bosses the midfield. Think about the quality of the players in that City midfield and he made them look like a pub side.
A proper old school Midfield General. he reminds me of Roy Keane at his best, but without the regular violent assaults
That was more like it! My last few visits to the Emirates have been bloody miserable (Everton 0-0, Newcastle 0-2, Man U loss on pens, Villa 2-2). I was beginning to think my sudden luck in ticket ballots had someone how cursed them.
Ouch Rice and Keane - there's parts of Ireland, outside of Cork, you could start a full-on brawl if you mentioned them.
Rice is world class with the presence to dictate where the game is going to be played by his own positioning. I think he was worn out by last summer’s football but seems to be back to full fitness now. Also, as our most dependable midfielder he has probably sacrificed some of his more offensive capabilities because he has had to cover for those playing around him but the emergence of Lewis-Skelly has saved him having to look over his shoulder at the left back position, and today, Partey restored to his best position and playing well helped free up Rice.
A lot of the new commentating styles sound like they’re hostages reading from a script.
Thanks that is a perfect description, I had wondered what was going on!
Rather than saying a player’s name when they receive the ball he says it when they get rid of it.
There seems to be a few doing that now.
For the last couple of weeks I thought that the video and audio weren't synced on my stream.
I don't fancy Newcastle's chances much this Wednesday. Arsenal looked very, very good.
I think Newcastle will put up a much better fight (in every sense of the word) than City but an early Arsenal goal would make it very interesting
Some crazy results over the weekend with both Forest and Leeds netting seven goals without reply, but that Arsenal win – even with Man City's dip in form, I really didn't expect that.
Might see if I can persuade some pubs in Bradford to offer that kind of incentive too 😉
Why do the sky presenters and pundits wear giant shoes when standing up and analysing games.
Lot of Reading fans are gutted he's been sold, shows great composure on the ball. Got him for the rest of the season though.
Yeah saw he'd been loaned back, slightly different tack for our transfers but glad we're looking at promising youngsters.
City got the Gonzalez deal done just in time. £180m spent, plus Haaland’s contract, they must be confident the charges won’t stick.
70m net spend for the season, isn't so dramatic.
Fair point. Gonzalez has some big shoes to fill.
He’s shockingly bad! He makes some of our recent buys look like value for money. Actually: I’m amazed we didn’t sign him.
I wonder if you can bet on how many absolute sitters Havertz will put into Row Z every week?
Harsh. Does what is required off the ball. scores and assists, holds up play and they have second highest goals in the league which suggests they're pretty balanced. maybe you're talking nonsense?
I usually do 🙂
He does seem to miss an awful lot of sitters though. He reminds me of Raheem Sterling. Great at getting himself into good shooting positions, but then seems to forget why it was he got himself there in the first place.
It’s painful to watch Havertz at times; like many “front players who aren’t natural strikers” he is best when he doesn’t have time to think about what he needs to do. He does a lot for the team outside the box (I reckon he must top the stamina charts) but he doesn’t do enough of the thing that someone in his position should be doing.
The number 9 position is obviously a dilemma for some modern managers - City arguably still struggle to decide how to play despite the prowess of Haaland and all the talent in the squad.
Rice is world class with the presence to dictate where the game is going to be played by his own positioning.

Bruno and Sandro beg to differ. Big Joe even had the night off. Rice is now resorting to tackles you can time with a calendar.
