I love listening to Christy Moore and Luke Kelly, beautiful voices. Regularly listen to CM's 1964-2004 box set is particularly excellent. Bit of anti Thatcher/Reagan/Tory action going on which may offend some but not me.

I spent a great week with my girlfriend (now wife) up above Gunnerside in a cottage in High Bends. Great spot, great riding. We will definitely be back. And we'll make sure we catch some music in Reeth next time, too.

I'm not at home but I'll try and remember to post a link to what's on in Reeth, if you are planning a trip north you could be here for one of the music events. Places to stay are the the Dales Bike Centre and loads of local pubs. Just so you know Dave Swarbrick and Martin Carthy play at least once a year sometimes twice. For a little p,ace we get some great acts.

Nice Nic Jones song by the way, perhaps one of the UKs finest and underrate singers.
