White smoke is normally caused by fuel timing/quantity issues, which is all down to the injectors on an hdi. Any competent diesel mechanic should be able to do a injector leak back test to identify the faulty injector.</p>
<p>Cost wise, injector reconditioning is anything from £70 per injector, or about £120+ for exchange.
