Just get some Stans in there and pump them up . You don't need to use an inner tube to seat the tape as the air pressure will do that perfectly well.Tyre might go down a bit before you take it for a ride but it should be fine after that.

I use a tube to inflate the tyre when I first fit new rim tape. I guess it physically presses the tape onto the rim and helps it seal.

So, fit a tube and pump it up hard. Give it an hour or so, remove the tube and off you go tubeless.

the rims are asymmetric if that makes a difference?

I had, maybe incorrectly, assumed that the stans tape would be longer lasting?

I have set up many sets of wheels using just this!

I managed to rip the sram tubeless rim tape when I punctured a wheel. Last night I removed it and put on some yellow stans tape. I pumped it up to 40psi and left it over night to bed the tape in with no stans fluid. it had gone down a bit this morning so I pumped it up again. I can hear some air leaking out from one of the nipples. The tape looks well seated in the rim now, but there's definitely air coming out slowly.

Do I
1. just add stans fluid and hope it will seal?
2. remove the tape and seal under the tape with gorilla tape? I'm worried that will add too much volume by having two tapes.

any thoughts?
