I've not put guards on it, but it shouldn't be a problem depending on tyre width.
I do like mine - I have a spesh sirrus (similar to the Flight) with flat bars, but I tend to ride the Vapour more.
If you are anywhere near Perth, and you are looking at a 56, then you would be welcome to come and try it.

im mostly thinking the vapour is the most useful to me, i plan to do LEJOG before i turn 50, and on longer rides drops give a bit more variety in position.
how much tyre clearance does your vapour have? thinking about mudgaurds too.

Surely the biggest issue is going to be drops versus flat bars. I get on fine on the drops, but it took a while to get used to and the stock Vapour offerings were a bit on the narrow side (40 cm IIRC).
So you many want to budget for some larger bars if you go with the vapour.

i have 4 weeks until i can order using C2W scheme, i am a big lad (23 stone) and already have a full sus and a rigid mountain bike.
going to use new bike for commuting 2 miles to work and longer jaunts on my days off, mixture of road and sustrans type paths.
