I've picked up the SIS 'selection box' just to try the various gels, powders and bars out prior to the Rat Race in Endinburgh in a couple of weeks. I'm not clear on the concentration of drinks powder I should be using and when
I've got my head around the Go drink, 6% or 8% concentration based on how hot it is but does anyone know how much of the PSP22 you are supposed to use before/after excercise? Same goes for the ReGo revovery stuff.
Any advice?
PSP22 is just a carb drink with electrolytes in I think, so should be the same as the Go drink? Rego is 50g mixed with 400ml-ish of water I think. There's a measure on the side of the SIS bottle isn't there?
The bottle does have measures on it but for PSP22 the are 10%,12%,15% and 17% and for ReGo they are 100g, 120g and 140g. The sachets themselves say to make up 500mls which requires 50g of powder. Call me simple but this confuses me (where's that guy from Torq when you need him?).
Right. Looked on the bottles 🙂
PSP22 is 50g/500ml. GO is 40g/500ml. REGO is indeed 50g/500ml.
I'd use the GO measures on the bottle for PSP22. Can't for the life of me work out why you'd want 17% concentration!
I use a REGO mixer for my REGO, which has a 50g marker on it. Maybe estimate half of 100g using your bottle?
Cheers vdubber67, sounds sensible.
