<p>Highest I&#39;ve seen on a bike is 40Nm. Just crank those things by hand, no need for a specific wrench.

<p>Your knackered torque wrench shows the problem with them - they tend to de-skill the users who just rely on them rather than applying common sense too. Besides they&#39;re useless unless properly calibrated.

                        <content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Wahey it&#39;s Friday! I&#39;ve had the afternoon off and have been prepping my bike for a weekend of trail bashing. I was using my Pedros Pro Torque Wrench 1.0 to attach a new cassette and I&#39;ve fucked it! The wrench is definitely broken, probably because I carried on torquing after I should have stopped. The wrench lacks a decent snap. Can any of you recommend where I could get it serviced? </p>
<p>More importantly what high-end (20-200nm) torque wrenches do you recommend for BBs and cassettes? I have a little BBB torque wrench which covers 0-25nm and is excellent with a satisfying snap. Basically a joy to use. But I need a cheapish high-end wrench as I love torquing!!
