Problem is, bolt-thru is really good for stiffening up sloppy suspension forks. In theory, a rigid fork shouldn't move so much, so doesn't need to be bolt-thru

Bolt through provides a huge increase in torsional stiffness which is the main benefit, nothing to do in the majority of cases with suspension, that would only really be an issue if the lowers were separate on each leg rather than bridged

Main benefit is felt in steering / tracking precision IME

And for stopping your wheel loosening under braking, which can apparently happen with QRs/discs.

X-lite 15mm carbon fork appears to be vapourware.

The salsa fork might be quite nice on a simple. Id guess that 470 mm is the about the same as sag adjusted 120-130 mm suspension fork so spot on.

I think the DMR at 440 mm is like a 100 mm suspension fork with sag.

Not sure if the rake would be different on the salsa being a 29’r fork, (would this matter to much?) but might be worth dropping an email to Cotic (or Sasla) to ask

How about a nutted 9mm axle hub? I have a buddy who uses one in the standard Cromoto.

well, you could view it as a very strong trail fork...

Choices are a bit limited really, X-Lite and On One are rumoured to be bringing out bolt-thru rigid forks.

I think the Salsa is about 470mm.

DMR Trailblade is 440mm
