I need a new commute bike, and as I will use it a lot I want to get something I’ll enjoy riding.

I ideally want:

Steel frame
Post mount disc
mudguard mounts

And that’s about it for musts. Ill ride it flat bar and will fiddle with stem length to get it right. I’d ride an mtb if I can get it/find a suitable rigid fork to keep weight down. L frame if designed for flatbars, XL if not to then run with flat bars and a short seatpost (like I did with my last frame).

I basically want a roadrat but not many on the 2nd hand market now.

Anyone have anything available?
