Looking for some cheap 29er tires for a friend. Doesn’t have to be much, just ok amounts of tread and preferably in 2.2-2.4 width and not too heavy as a lot of his riding is just commuting.

    Hi

    I’ve just folded up a selection as they’ve been hanging in my garage wall far too long.

    I’ve got a Specialized Ground Control 2.1″ and Geax Saguaro 2.2″ that might fit the bill. Light and fast rolling, both Kevlar bead and with 80-90% tread on them, bit muddy but fine otherwise. I’d be happy with £15 for the pair.

    I also have a Black Chilli Continental Mountain King 2.2″, again Kevlar bead and about 80% tread but. A few scuffs to the side walls (which they all seemed to show a bit quick) but held air tubeless fine when fitted. It’s the lightweight Race carcass so pretty feathery but still rolls speedily. £15.

    I’ve got a couple of Maxxis Pace Exo TR going spare. They’re 29 x 2.1 but came out at 2.2 on my rims. Very fast rolling and pretty tough. They’ve done a fair few miles, probably half worn, so I’d be after £20 for the pair. PM me if interested
