For spares or repair

Thomson dropper seatpost. 30.9 x 400mm and 120mm travel (I think). It’s a cable operated externally routed post and I have the original Thomson remote.

It’s a few years old now and was bought from Merlin in January 2014 (Wow didn’t realise it was that long ago) but it has seen very little use. I had it serviced by I-ride (the distributer and service center at the time) at early 2019. I think they changed seals etc but said the cartridge was fine. After the service it was used a handful of times and then stopped returning to full extension.

It’s had so little use since the last service that I think the problem is probably due to a lack of use.

I think it probably just needs a strip and clean but Thomson posts are not user serviceable (at least my me) and for a little while there was no Thomson service center in the UK. I think this has changed now.

Helpfully I-ride also tightened the collar and I haven’t been able to loosen it.

I’d rather not throw it away. So does anyone want a Thomson seatpost to repair or use for spares?
