Orange Segment Large Frame in good working condition.
I have owned this frame from new, bought from The Trailhead in Shrewsbury in 2015. It builds up into an excellent short travel 29er trail bike and I’m only selling it because I’ve bought something with a little bit more travel. That said, it’s never felt out of it’s depth on the downhills.
Included are a Hope headset (bearings still feel good), seat clamp, rear axle, Shimano bottom bracket (feels OK) and swingarm frame protector (not photographed). I’ve left the gear outer cable in, which is also fine, and some string in the non-drive side of the swingarm to help pull the rear brake hose through.
The shock is a Fox Factory Float CTD which works well and holds pressure. The frame bearings still feel smooth.
I’ve tried to include photos of all the bad bits I can find. The frame has been Invisiframed from new and most of the scratches and marks are in the Invisiframe. I have removed one or two panels of this that were a bit tatty. There is a small shallow dent in the down tube, just above the bottom bracket from a rock strike. There is also some of the usual cable rub, the worst of which is below the shock from the gear cable. The paint has bubbled in places, mainly under the swingarm on the drive side, with some small cracks visible in the bubbled paint. I’ve checked these with Orange and they confirmed that these cracks are in the paint, which apparently can be a bit brittle on that particular model year.
I’d prefer collection if at all possible to ensure that you’re happy with it before parting with any money. That said, if this is not possible, I do have a decent bike box and I’d be prepared to ship at cost.
