I’ve picked this beautiful blue thing up from my ex-partner and would like to use the opportunity of selling it to raise some money for charity.
I’ve heard that Covid is hitting existing refugee crises very hard — as in insufficient food supplies are being further cut — so I’d like to donate money to something like the UN HCR, or a smaller more focused NGO if I manage to get around to some research (suggestions welcome).
So the bike…
It’s a Kona Unit, medium size (17″), and the 2017 model. I picked it up a couple of years ago for my (now ex)partner and added the parts listed below, which include two front wheels — a big 650b plus to smooth things out and a 29er front to speed things up.
It’s mechanically and cosmetically in very good condition all round, aside from the issues listed below, which are largely because it’s been sat around for ages.
It’s make a great backpacking bike, or is well suited to long days out or rougher gravel riding or just playing around in general.
I’ll consider offers but please not much lower — unless you only want one of the wheels — as the money is all going to go to a charity.
I’m in Leeds and am happy to drive a bit to meet or deliver.

Specification is standard except for the following:
-> Front 650b Hope 35W wheel, straight pull, running tubeless with a Maxxis Chronicle 3″ tyre. All in excellent condition.
-> Pair of 29er Hope Pro 2 wheels with a Stans Crest rims, running tubeless with a Maxxis Ikon 2.35″ Exo TR and a Crossmark 2 Exo TR. The rims are a couple of mm out of true, but are otherwise in good condition and the tyres in excellent condition.
-> 1×10 setup, XT rear mech, Zee shifter and a 11-42t (I think) Deore
Cassette. All working nicely.
-> KS Eten dropper post
-> On One OG handlebars with ESI Chunky grips.
And onto the issues:
-> The back brake needs a bleed and I unfortunately do not have the skills. It was working fine before the bike was put into hibernation.
-> The dropper feels tired. The action is slow and there’s a bit of play. However, it is still working and in any case, I’m including a rigid post as well.
-> The tyres are holding air well but they need a sealant top up
