Cannondale Slate Ultegra Medium Rigid

For sale is my (owned from new) Cannondale Slate Ultegra. As you will notice, this Slate does not come with the standard Oliver Lefty suspension fork. The reason for this is that after 9 months of commuting use it already required a 200 hour service. Given the cost of this service and the projected frequency, I decided that the amount of travel (30mm) offered by the fork was not worth the cost of regular servicing. As a result I removed and sold the fork and wheels rather than replacing the whole bike. Whilst it has lost the visual wonder of having the lefty fork, I do not believe that the riding characteristics were unduly affected. The replacement fork is a carbon Kinesis ATR fork that was the closest match to the ac length and fork rake of the lefty. The replacement wheels are the highly rated Mason X Hunt 650b Adventure Sport Disk Wheelset currently shod with Clement Strada 42mm tubeless tyres and a Thomson stem.

Other than the above, the bike is standard (pedals not included). I use a chain checker and always replace the chain when it reaches 0.75. The current chain has plenty of life left in it.

The bike has been predominantly used for commuting with light gravel / off road riding (south coast / south downs).

SEATPOST Cannondale C1 Alloy 27.2 X 350mm

For it’s age, I believe it is in very good condition. There is an obvious scratch on the front of the seatpost which was caused by a burr on the inside of the frame on delivery as the seatpost had been lowered for it to fit in the box. Both shifters have slight visual scratching having slid along the wet road when I came off going too fast at a junction. Other than that there are some very minor chips and scratches. Wheels are tubeless and hold air without issue.
