Airdrop Bitmap Hardtail MTB Frame Large.
This is a raw factory aluminium finished Airdrop Bitmap with a factory clear coat. The finish you can see is unique to this frame as it shows the machining marks when the frame was finished at the factory. Black decals fitted by Airdrop are on the outside of the clear coat so could be swapped out if you prefer a different colour. Airdrop sell a wide range of colours. Potential cable rub areas have been protected with invisframe patches from new.
There are marks to the frames clear coat on the downtube and inner seat/chain stays from stone hits but there are no cracks or anything else untoward. Just the usual marks you get from riding a bike. The chain stay was covered at the build up stage with self amalgamating tape to protect it and keep the chain slap noise down.
I’ve included images of all key areas. Please see them for detail of condition.
The frame takes a 27.5 tapered fork and wheels and has a standard BSA bottom bracket. Threads are good. Built for a 140mm fork. I found that the bike climbed and descended very well.
External routing for rear break and rear mech. External routing for dropper until the seat tube where it enters the frame.
Frame is built for 1 x gear set up.
ISCG tabs so a chain device can be fitted if required.
The frame has a boost rear ended which is bolt through and has a replaceable drop out. Loads of tyre room back there. I’ve been using a 2.6 tyre on a 30mm rim. No issues with mud clearance.
I had built it up when I was waiting for a warranty replacement on a full suss Santa Cruz but even when the frame was replaced I have ridden this frame so much more. It’s been a great bike and I will replace it like for like as soon as I can but at the moment it needs to go as the cash is needed elsewhere.
I’m including the Cane Creek headset free with the frame but it does not have the crown race. These are £10 or so to replace. The headset was purchased and fitted by Airdrop when I picked the frame up from there Sheffield base. Bearings are good.
