2022 RockShox Super Deluxe Ultimate Coil

Size – 205×62.5mm

Mount – Trunnion front + 30x8mm bush rear

Spring – 450lb Nukeproof Super Light

Tune – 320lb lockout threshold (the lower option but still very firm when locked), Linear Rebound, Low Compression.

This shock is the latest model of Super Deluxe Ultimate with hydraulic bottom out adjustment as well as high/low speed compression. RockShox claimed to have separated these circuits for the new model for less cross contamination of adjustment and it really is very effective.

I had the shock fitted to a 2021 Nukeproof Giga 290 for several weeks during the summer. It was a bit of an emergency purchase as my other shock was in for warranty repair and they didn’t have the parts!

The shock tune worked great on the Giga and is the same tune that Nukeproof sell when they spec the Super Deluxe on the bike stock. I imagine it would work well on many other bikes as the base damping is quite fast. The Giga has an average leverage ratio of 2.83 and leverage progression of 29% for reference.
