Here’s my trusty Salsa Spearfish. Originally purchased new (old stock) in 2016 from Cosmic Sports in Germany (an official Salsa dealer). According to Strava I have clocked nearly 3000km on this bike and have loved every moment of it, however, I want more travel so have upgraded to a new 2020 Salsa full suss. 

I have tried to protect the bike as much as possible, but there are signs of use and cable rub. Most notably is the mastic tape that I installed on the downtube. I originally had some helitape installed but that wasn’t sufficient to prevent a large welsh rock denting it (pictured).

The bike originally came spec’d with a 2×10 setup, then I converted it to 1×10 and then, for the most part, I converted it to 1×11 however I am keeping the drivetrain apart from X9 cranks. The brakes have been upgraded from 160mm Avid Elixir 5’s to 180mm Elixir 9 Carbon’s; the front caliper is standard twin pot but the rear is 4 pot. I will include another twin pot should you want to swap out the 4 pot plus loads of spare pads. The suspension is all original albeit a FIT4 damper upgrade to the fork (done by Mojo in March 2017), and a 3pos remote which actuates both the fork and shock. The shock was last serviced in Sept 2018. A Reverb (100mm drop) was added shortly after purchase and serviced in Sept 2018. Other upgrades include a Hope PF41 bottom bracket (the type that screws together into the shell) fitted in May 2018. The wheels are original: Salsa/Formula hubs on Stans Rapid rims (OEM versions of Arch Ex). The rear has taken a bit of a battering and isn’t completely round/straight. I intend to include a spare rim that is currently a front wheel on another bike but I need to strip it down first. The tyres are Schwalbe Nobby Nic and Racing Ralph that are setup tubeless (with Stans tape & valves). Lastly, I will leave the green Charge Spoon and Elite bottom cage on the bike.

The bike is currently registered and UV marked with Bike Register so I’ll transfer the new owner the log book on completion of the sale.
