Weight weenies rejoice! Canyon releases updated Lux and Exceed for 2022

Canyon releases details of the 2022 Canyon Exceed and Canyon Lux, no new frames but new lightweight builds!

If your idea of a good ride is one where you power up the biggest hills you have locally then power back down them again with your seat at a height that would make the enduro bros wince, then Canyon has a couple of bikes right up your alley.

For 2022 there is nothing new in terms of frame design and geometry on both the Canyon Lux and Canyon Exceed, but new build options ensure there’s a lightweight XC model to suit most pockets and all built with components that can perform.

If you’re a rider that want’s the lightest bike on 2 wheels and can happily live without rear suspension then Canyon has the 2022 Exceed. This super-light XC frame is available in 3 grades of carbon depending on trim and price, and there’s even a Canyon MTB Racing Team Replica model in the range for you budding Emily Battys.

2022 Canyon Exceed

Though superlight usually means super expensive, the 2022 Canyon Exceed range includes a pretty astonishing bargain in the shape of the Exceed CF 6. This carbon fibre bike features a Fox 32 Rhythm fork, Shimano 1 x 12 SLX drivetrain, and DT Swiss wheels all for the low price of €2,299.

For riders wanting the ultimate XC race hardtail, then Canyon also offers something at the other end of the scale in the form of the Exceed CFR LTD. This model boasts the ultralight 835g CFR frameset, RockShox SID SL fork, SRAM XX1 AXS and a DT Swiss dropper.

2022 Canyon Lux

Not every XC rider desires a super-stiff hardtail though, and so Canyon offers the Lux full-suspension model. The Lux frame remains unchanged for 2022 meaning it still benefits from efficient suspension kinematics and Canyon’s lightweight flex pivot suspension design. While the frames remain the same the builds have changed to make the Lux lighter and more competitive. As such each build gets a 100mm travel fork, lighter parts and each model has a rigid seat post to further drop the overall weight.

Canyon should have full details of the 2022 Lux and Exceed over on their website right now.
