Welcome to Fresh Goods Friday – the final one of 2010. We’ve been out of the office for a while, enjoying the festive season by pointedly not looking at the computer, so there’s been a backlog of the shiny things arriving in the office. It’s like a repeat of Christmas Day, only without the overstuffed ill feeling…

Contour have been making their lightweight 1080p HD, wide-angle lens camera for a while now, but we’ve just had the latest version with a built in GPS arrive. You can watch your video and see a map of where you were riding at the time simultaneously. Will it now be even harder to keep your secret trails of delight on the quiet?

The tidy features like the rotating lens with laser pointers are all still there too, as are the plethora of mounting options to fix the camera to goggles, helmets, frames/forks (with sticky mounts) and even tripod heads. We look forward to putting it head to head with the GoPro…

Dan Barham, your favourite snapper of them all, dropped by to show off this Norco Range SE. Dan spoke in a strange dialect, telling of it being “super sick for shredding the gnar” and something about it being perfect for  “roosting the nugs”. We just smiled and nodded as we didn’t understand, but we imagine it means that the 160mm travel bike should prove a capable bike for the harder hitting side of pedally riding. The tapered headtube and 142mm bolt thru back end will help to keep everything stiff in the rough stuff. The nicely low slung, long and slack geometry should make it handy in the fast and twisty stuff too. You can’t get the SE in this country but the lower specced Range 2 will cost £2,999.99

Getting this shot of some tasty brownie from Greystoke Cycle Cafe was quite lucky – it didn’t last long. Based close to Ullswater in Cumbria, the cafe is on the route of the C2C and has The Cyclist’s Barn for riders and their support, with drinks and food.

New clothes are a Christmas staple but instead of some strangely knitted masterpiece from your nan, we’ve been sent a load of lovely Sombrio kit.

Matt’s modelling the Sombrio Rev Moto shorts. They’re nicely baggy and are made from quality stretchy DWR fabric, are fully mesh lined, have got plenty of ventilation and the pockets conceal one of those spring loaded ski pass style things that hurt Matt’s fingers quite a lot.

Matt’s been feeling a bit insane in the membrane of late. The Scott Koberg shirt is a wicking cotton/polyester mix shirt for casual or bike use. Matt’s been after one for a while after spotting them at Eurobike. He doesn’t look any happier sadly.

Even this couldn’t bring a smile to Matt’s face. It’s the eagerly anticipated Rock Shox Reverb uppy downy post! We’ve been after one for bloody ages. There’s a fully adjustable 125mm drop using the hydraulic remote switch and the three key guide should prevent side to side slop from developing. It’s going on Matt’s Lapierre Spicy, which should be the perfect testbed for it…

Jon has been after a specially fettled shock for his Ghost Long Termer after riding the shorter travel Ghost RT which was running a harder Pro Pedal tune on the shock. The incredibly tall Mr Porter from Mojo Suspension obliged with this specially shortened shock with a harder compression, rebound and Pro Pedal tune. You can send your existing shock off to have this done along with a service but the idea is to get a bit of back to back comparison done, so we’ve had an all new shock sent over. First ride has been promising, keep your eyes peeled for a long termer update soon…
