Mark has been riding mountain bikes for over 30 years and co-owns Singletrack, where he's been publisher for 25 years. While his official title might be Managing Director, his actual job description is "whatever needs doing" – from wrangling finances and keeping the lights on to occasionally remembering to ride bikes for fun rather than just work. He's seen the sport evolve from rigid forks to whatever madness the industry dreams up next, and he's still not entirely sure what "gravel" is. When he's not buried in spreadsheets or chasing late invoices, he's probably thinking about his next ride.

It’s good that the mag is “iPad Ready” as you call it. Could you make the extras iPad Ready too and ditch the flash?
I’m meant to be Premier, but it doesn’t seem to have been activated 🙁
I was hoping to see the Eurobike stuff, snif.
Can anyone help? Snif.
Each video clip is available as an m4v download. “click here to download”. Works great on iPad. I know this cos I’m typing this in the passenger seat of a car on the M74 on our iPad 🙂
“British steel” are any of those brands made in Britain?
Any plans on an update/long term test, on the two guy’s who made their own frames on a course?
the click here to download doesn’t seem to work on my iPad. Oh, well off to a PC I go
Same iPad problem- no download – any ideas?
No worky on iPhone either. Says ‘server not configured correctly’
That Rough Riderz piece both in the mag and the video on here is great. The mag article in issue 60 gets my vote for Article of the year. It makes you appreciate what youve got and inspires you to ride. I really admire the guts of those riders.
I wonder if any UK Armed forces wounded/amputees have heard of it? It would be fantastic for them and Im sure the Help for Hero’s charity would buy a few bikes for any wounded troops that were interested.
Are you guys Premier users? Just checked again here and it all works fine.
Sorry folks, Mark has jumped the gun a little in pronouncing full iOS device (iPod, iPad, iPhone) compatibility.
The video player that works on iOS (non-flash) is ready to go, we’re just waiting on one small technical detail for Premier protected files to be resolved, but that is Tom1’s area of expertise and he’s on holiday right now.
We shall make it a priority on his return.
The files will work if downloaded to iOS devices and then played, but will not work if streamed.
@AlexSimon – sorry, we shall sort it out first thing Monday morning.
Lovin’ the rough riderz – those guys have got balls
I like the Whyte 19 steel looks more in the vid more than stills. Even so it is still just a little too understated.
“British steel” are any of those brands made in Britain? No but they are at least British firms frames made abroad as opposed to US/European firms that are built abroad. And to be fair it is more than just where the frame is made. In the world of MTBing the UK market desire for steel framed trail bikes is somewhat out of the ordinary. These are bikes made for the UK market and a lot of the riding done here.
