Petzl MYO XP

Not a riding light, but why shouldn’t your camping, walking and exploring lights not make the most of advances in LED technology too? Running off three AA batteries, the Petzl MYO XP uses one bright LED to give a bright, white light with a diffuser to effectively give you spot and a floodlight options.

Tis a good torch, I’ve got an Ultra which fits my piss-pot, it’s the schnizzle.
Yeah, I second that. Great headtorch. I got one a while back from http://www.facewest.co.uk
a review from Jan-08….
3x the price of the Alpkit Gamma with fewer features and similar spec.

I have an alpkit gamma and wondered how they compared. Any comments anyone?
I did 3/4 of a lap at Twentyfour12 last year using just one of these after my main lights died. It worked very well, considering it’s ‘just’ a little headtorch.
Ive used these extensivly for off road touring and fieldwork in the forests of madagascar and they are fantastic. Low power mode lasts for ages and they run really well on solar recharged batteries. Just got an XPR and am interested to see what the difference is.
