ummm, wheel reflectors. Just sets the bike off nicely!
We had a demonstrator for a couple of weeks last summer and can confirm that it really is a cracking bike, noticably very smooth and fast on rooty or rocky climbs. We put put a pair of wider risers on for the second week which transformed the bike from point and squirt racer boy to something a bit more long legged and all day friendly.
We’ve also sold a couple of the cheaper alloy framed versions and aside from being a little heavier they felt just as good to ride.
Bought one about 3 months ago and love it! My last mountainbike which is still in use is 20 years old (Look MI 90 carbon) but I wanted a full suss mainly for the local woods which are great and wanted the light weight of carbon. I was suprised that even for £3k you dont get xtr throughout but hadn’t realised how much things had moved on price wise. The main faults for me are the SLX brakes were great when new but despite everything I’ve tried they have lost their edge already. The frame is a work of art so I can see some upgrades coming before long!
