On top of the wheelies thread I posted previously I’m making choices as to what I do. Only the 5 would go via wheelies, all other options assume cash insurance settlement.

I’ve narrowed down choices based on budget and what I have access to and am currently considering the above bikes plus the Radon Slide. Given that I cannot test ride a lot of these I have some questions.

In terms of specifics;

Anyone got any real world experience? In particular would like to know about the BOS suspension and also how viable it is as a trail bike?

I’m thinking for the type of riding I do it may be a bit if a drag for the more XC stuff.

Canyon Spectral / Radon slide

Has anyone got one yet? Views?

Has anyone used the bike spec options list? I’d prefer one of the component pack options from the Alpine 160 but put on the slide (renthal bars and stem), will orange do this.

I was thinking about speeding up the basic 5 model which comes with the RS shock, is it worth getting the £100 upgrade to the fox shock?
