-4 walking off the hill, I think well into the -10 with windchill. The kids didn’t notice.

Shakedown SS ride…. MUST remember to take 15mm ratchet spanners on SS rides, especially maiden rides.

Also lesson learnt…. road sprockets do NOT make for good SS sprockets.

The ride itself was GREAT though 🙂

There was a lot of mud, sweat and tears beforehand. Obviously.

The nearest I got to a ride this weekend was these Brooks saddle coat hangers in a bar we went in.

Really beautiful/ fun ride in the quantocks today

Them coat hangers are brilliant!

Yesterday – couldn’t get out on the bike in the snow as the wife had a Dr’s appointment and it had all gone when we got back.
Today : nice frosty ride this morning which had a sound track of ice cracking, lots of black ice on the road sections, felt like I was being chased / stalked by velociraptor’s at one point as their were a couple of birds making strange hooting calls to each other.

This just about sums up Saturday’s ride.

My shoes are still drying by the radiator after I had to wash the mud out of the inside!

Edit: Great fun though, nothing like being the first to crack the ice on the puddles.
