  • Your preferred method for a proper bleed of Shimano brakes?

    I do the basic shimano bleed, so new oil pushed in through the calliper, old oil out at the lever in to the pot. No faffing with yellow blocks or leaving things overnight!

    NB always remember to wind out the reach adjustors before starting as it seems to give better results.

    interesting – just building up a bike for smallest but getting bigger antigee teen and the slx brakes I fitted needed a bleed having been sat for a couple of years, wound in the reach as i put them on the bars, then bled them 🙁 will see how are tomorrow – seemed ok

    another vote for the epic method and their kit other than they need to put a block/wedge fingy in the kit as I always take out the pads because I’m messy
